Why we exist
City-dweller.com for Houston provides recommendations by regulars - detailed, credible recommendations of unique businesses in the Houston area provided by regulars of these businesses. That's the only way to get reliable information!
- Recommendations, not reviews - We don't want you to have to wade through tons of dubious reviews - or a whole directory of businesses that don't all have reviews - just to find a few gems. Here, they're all gems!
- Detailed recs - A two-sentence recommendation is practically useless. All of our recommendations are several paragraphs long and include enough detail for you to know whether you'll like the place.
- Of unique businesses - Go to a Chili's or a H&R Block anywhere and they're all about the same – that's the whole intent behind a franchise or chain. But there's only one Bellaire Coffee Shop in the world - and you want to know what it's like before you go there. We only feature truly local businesses.
- By regulars - Only a regular really knows what a place is like. Anyone else could have gone there on a great day - or a terrible day!
